Dr. Marquez was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico. During his undergraduate education, Dr. Marquez was employed at the state's Center for Development and Disability where he worked with children and gained valuable knowledge and a passion for working with those on the Autism Spectrum. He later attended dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he received the prestigious Arthur Iwerson Award for excellence in pediatric dentistry.

After dental school, Dr. Marquez attended residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, one of the top children's hospitals in the nation. In residency he was selected and served as Chief Resident – Go Chiefs! Dr. Marquez is an active member of a number of dental associations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Kansas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Marquez and his wife have known each other since middle school. They stay busy trying to keep up with their young energetic daughter. As a family, they enjoy exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on our Kansas City sports teams.
